Dear Governors’ Village STEM Academy Families,
I am excited and honored to join your school community. It is a privilege to partner with you in supporting the success and growth of your children, and I look forward to getting to know each of you in the coming months. I bring over 21 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, school counselor, and assistant principal. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating supportive school environments where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to learn.
I am a proud double graduate of North Carolina Central University and have also attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. These experiences have shaped my commitment to educational excellence and continuous growth.
As both an educator and a parent, I strongly believe in the power of relationships. My daughter, Chrissy, will be attending East Carolina University this fall to pursue a degree in nursing, and my son, Caleb, is a fourth grader who is currently studying Mandarin. What I expect and hope for my own children: high-quality instruction, meaningful learning experiences, and strong relationships, is exactly what I strive to ensure for every student at our school.
I am especially excited to be part of a STEM-focused community where students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and engage in rigorous and meaningful learning. I believe in providing opportunities that challenge students while also making learning engaging, relevant, and fun.
In my limited free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring great places to eat. These experiences help me connect with new cultures and perspectives, which I bring back into my work with students and staff.
I am truly grateful to join Governors’ Village STEM Academy Elementary and look forward to working together to support our students’ success. Thank you for welcoming me into GVSA.
Warmly,
Joycelyn Bryant
